PRATÜM is a reflection of where I come from—a story rooted in the sweeping prairies of central Iowa. The name, Latin for "prairie," speaks to the landscape that shaped my identity and inspires every thread of my work.
Growing up on a small farm just outside of town, I was surrounded by the textures and colors of the land. Our family home sat on a hill, encircled by two acres of tallgrass prairie—native grasslands alive with big-stem bluegrass and wildflowers like bergamot. The air carried the unmistakable scents of turned earth, rain, and fresh garden tomatoes. Those sensory experiences are etched into my memory and have become the heart of PRATUM.
There’s a profound sense of belonging that comes from standing in the prairie, looking out at the horizon as far as the eye can see—especially when a storm rolls in. That feeling of grounding and confidence is what I aim to bring to life through PRATUM. In a world where finding your place can feel elusive, I hope to inspire self-assurance and individuality through the art of bespoke dressing. What's a product or service you'd like to show.

We reject mass production and overproduction. Every garment is made to order, ensuring we create only what is truly needed. Our commitment to small-batch production allows us to maintain exceptional quality control while significantly reducing resource waste.
To this necessity, we bring our unwavering passion for creation. We are dedicated to proving that choosing sustainability doesn’t mean compromising on aesthetics, comfort, or quality. Through innovation and craftsmanship, we redefine what’s possible in sustainable fashion—ensuring that every piece we create is as beautiful as it is responsible.
Sustainable fashion, guided by holistic principles, integrates ethical manufacturing, fair trade, environmental responsibility, and social awareness. Consumers play a key role by making informed choices that push brands to adopt eco-friendly practices.
PRATUM partners with small factories and workshops to craft garments of the highest quality while maintaining the smallest possible carbon footprint. Our production process incorporates numerous artisanal techniques, many performed by hand rather than machines. This approach not only upholds traditional craftsmanship but also minimizes greenhouse gas emissions and reduces non-recyclable waste.
