Sustainability
Commitment
At PRATUM, we believe that if necessity is the mother of invention, then passion is the father of innovation. The need for sustainable and ethical production has never been greater, and we are committed to answering that call.
To this necessity, we bring our unwavering passion for creation. We are dedicated to proving that choosing sustainability doesn’t mean compromising on aesthetics, comfort, or quality. Through innovation and craftsmanship, we redefine what’s possible in sustainable fashion—ensuring that every piece we create is as beautiful as it is responsible.
Consumption
We reject mass production and overproduction. Every garment is made to order, ensuring we create only what is truly needed. Our commitment to small-batch production allows us to maintain exceptional quality control while significantly reducing resource waste.
-
Workshop
PRATUM partners with small factories and workshops to craft garments of the highest quality while maintaining the smallest possible carbon footprint. Our production process incorporates numerous artisanal techniques, many performed by hand rather than machines. This approach not only upholds traditional craftsmanship but also minimizes greenhouse gas emissions and reduces non-recyclable waste.
-
Technology
The fashion industry’s relationship with technology is dynamic and ever-evolving, bringing both advancements and challenges.
Sustainable fashion, guided by holistic principles, integrates ethical manufacturing, fair trade, environmental responsibility, and social awareness. Consumers play a key role by making informed choices that push brands to adopt eco-friendly practices.
-
Materials
PRATUM is committed to sustainability by exclusively using eco-friendly materials in its manufacturing processes. This includes natural fibers such as organic cotton, wool, and hemp, which are renewable, biodegradable, and grown without harmful chemicals. By repurposing “deadstock” materials -unused surplus fabric - the brand reduces waste, minimizes resource consumption, and promotes a circular economy.
Community
At PRATUM, we believe meaningful change requires collaboration. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to support the industry in adopting positive, sustainable practices. We partner with small, second- and third-generation workshops—some with as few as one artisan—where best practices for reducing energy footprints are embraced.
We work closely with our suppliers to ensure they share our commitment to building a more sustainable future. Together, we’re shaping a new standard for ethical production.
As leaders in innovation, we’re proud to be at the forefront of sustainability in our industry—and we’re just getting started.
